Wetlands Program
The mission of the Wetlands Bureau is to protect, maintain and enhance the environmental quality in New Hampshire through the regulation of impacts to those areas "where the tide ebbs and flows" or "freshwater flows or stands". Shoreland Program
The Shoreland Program complements the Comprehensive Shoreland Protection Act which established minimum standards for activities within the protected shoreland that are designated to protect the water quality of the state's larger water bodies and to fulfull the state's role as trustee of those waters.
